{"id":129312705,"date":"2012-05-08T06:36:24","date_gmt":"2012-05-08T06:36:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/joshdance.me\/hosting-simple-cheap-options"},"modified":"2012-05-08T06:36:24","modified_gmt":"2012-05-08T06:36:24","slug":"hosting-simple-cheap-options","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/joshdance.me\/blog\/hosting-simple-cheap-options\/","title":{"rendered":"Hosting simple cheap options?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In order to have a personal website, you need web site hosting. \u00a0I don&#039;t feel like dedicating my Macbook (which is away getting its trackpad fixed) to hosting my website so I need to chose one. <\/p>\n<p \/>\n<div>I looked at answers on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.quora.com\/Which-is-the-cheapest-reliable-Linux-VPS-hosting-service-available\" target=\"_blank\">Quora<\/a> to a couple of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.quora.com\/Web-Hosting\" target=\"_blank\">hosting questions<\/a>.\u00a0<\/div>\n<p \/>\n<div>I don&#039;t need a lot of complexity or bandwidth. \u00a0Right now I am looking at the free Amazon account, Dreamhost, or maybe Namecheap. \u00a0I am leaning towards Namecheap because I have my domain names registered there. \u00a0I think the plan is Namecheap to start, and then set up a free Amazon instance to practice setting up servers. \u00a0I shall pull out the ye olde credit card tomorrow and get something running.\u00a0<\/div>\n<p \/>\n<div>Shot post but I aerated close to 20 lawns today so I think I shall call it a night.\u00a0<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In order to have a personal website, you need web site hosting.
