Would you pay to use Facebook?

I remember when facebook hit BYU.  It was crazy.  People would spend all night on it adding their friends.  Once we played hide and seek in the library.  After a few games, everyone kind of disappeared.  We found each other at the library computers, adding friends.

People would post everything on facebook. Dorm rooms, phone numbers, every single book they ever loved.  It was intoxicating.

As facebook grew and opened to other markets the specialness went down.  It went from just your awesome BYU friends and some high school buddies to everyone including your next door neighbor.

But as the above story shows, (The Facebook Death Star Moves Across The Web Universe) it hasn’t slowed facebook down.  I was thinking the other day, would I pay to use facebook?  The sad answer is that I actually might.

What about you?  Would you pay to use Facebook?  Put your answer in the comments.
