They contacted some awesome founders, and thought leaders in various (mostly online) industries to give public presentations using the new service. A few examples…
Monday, February 21st
- 1pm PST: Dave McClure, master of 500 Startups/Hats (meeting room)
Tuesday, February 22nd
- 9am PST: Andrew McAfee, Professor Harvard Business School of Enterprise 2.0 (meeting room)
- 10am PST: Jake Wengroff, B2B social media marketing analyst of Frost & Sullivan (meeting room)
- Noon PST: BJ Fogg, Stanford Director of the Stanford Persuasive Technology Lab (meeting room)

This is brilliant because it is a win-win for all parties.
1. Slidecast will get a ton of new people introduced to the service through the presenters networks. They will tell all their followers that they are presenting, all the followers see Zipcast in action.
2. Presenters will get new followers from Slidecast's marketing and promotion of their presentation, as well as improve their brand and their status as a "leader".
Just goes to show that it is easier to tap existing networks than start a brand new one.
