Ice Cream and Expectations
I love ice cream. Yesterday I was experimenting with creating my own ice cream flavor online. I found a “Flavor Generator” on Ben & Jerry’s. I had fun picking some sweet ingredients and swirls etc. (Raspberry, Blueberry Cake Batter anyone?) But when I got to the end… that was it. The end. There was no way to send my creation, save my creation, or actually order the ice cream. Maybe I was a little optimistic but I thought I could actually order my flavor.
Turns out you can order custom flavors from http://www.ecreamery.com/ The process is pretty easy. It is actually the same 4 steps as Ben & Jerry’s. It is very expensive however. My 2 flavor, 2 mix in creation would have cost about $110 for a gallon. At the end you can save your flavor, buy it, or send it to a friend.
I guess I expected more from Ben & Jerry’s. I can imagine sharing my creation on facebook, contests picking the best flavor and selling it for a limited time. Or at least the option of emailing your mom your flavor or something.
But that is the funny thing. A couple years ago, a static Flavor Generator would have been cool. But the web has progressed to a point where if something isn’t sharable, mixable and mash-able, we get disappointed.

Wonderful Weather
Mountains are beautiful. Hopefully we get a lot more snow. If it is going to be cold, we might as well get lots and lots of snow for some great snowboarding.
Is it a LoveSac or a Magic Bean?
My Roomate bought a LoveSac knock-off a week ago. It arrived yesterday. Since we cut off the vacuum packaging, it has kept on growing and growing. It was half this size last night. For some reason I can’t stop diving onto it…
My First Blog Post
I am going to try posterous. For one, it is really, really, easy. And the second reason is it is a little different from a lot of services out there.
