Why not give me a countdown?  It is trivially easy for a computer to figure how long till the outage, I have to think about it for a while.  This would be useful info.  Not just an announcement that I kind of ignore.

I found a sick ski movie trailer on Youtube.  If you like skiing, movies, or just sweet music, watch it.

Amazing.  I also loved the song.  It is Animus Vox by The Glitch Mob.  So sweet.  When I went to their site, I was looking through their remixes and I found that for one cover they had a picture of a BYU football player!  Sweet huh?  I love the remix culture.  Take it and use it to make something sweet.

ERM, COSO and accidents happen

While reading in my textbook for an Information Systems class, I came across this passage.  

"By their nature, events represent uncertainty.  An event may or may not occur.  If it does occur, it is hard to know when it will occur.  Until it occurs, it may be difficult to determine its impact on the company. When it occurs, it may trigger another event. Events may occur individually or concurrently.  Therefore, management must anticipate all possible events, whether positive or negative, that might affect the company."

Can this not be summarized as, "Stuff happens, have a backup plan."?

BlueHost is down – Twitter knows, Google doesn’t

I run a couple of websites off BlueHost and one of them wasn't loading.  I checked a couple things, it looked down. I searched Google for BlueHost down and found nothing. Searched Twitter and found the above screenshot.  

Twitter knows fast man.  

And BlueHost is down and I don't like it.
