I went to Krispy Kreme this morning. The hot light was on and I wanted a free doughnut. I found this sign. It was very sad. I thought about buying a 1.99 orange juice but then realized that the price of a doughnut was only 89 cents. By then I was so distraught that I just turned around and sadly walked out. Goodbye free original glazed. How I will miss you.
PS I thought it was tricky how them made something as negative as “No you can’t have a free doughnut.” sound so positive. Clever.
Oh my gosh. The SAME EXACT thing went through my head when I went to Krispy Kreme for the first time since they changed their policy. It was quite literally the first time the economic crisis actually effected my life directly, and it was SO SAD. And I totally agree, the sign is super tricky! Weird. (PS this is Kate (Vasicek) Challis. I know you from the freshmen dorms at byu)
